Your assumptions

Before you calculate

Read the scope and timing below. Defaults are examples, not personalised recommendations. Inputs are processed in your browser and are not saved or sent to a server by these tools. Results are cleared when inputs change.

EPF estimates an account balance; EPS estimates a limited pension formula; NPS models a market-linked retirement and annuity scenario. They are not interchangeable.

Use your official statements and verify decisions with the relevant authority. No forecast or pension award is guaranteed.

Check the scope first

This is a simplified standard EPS formula estimate, not an entitlement determination. It supports normal pension at 58, service entirely on or after 1 September 2014, and the standard ₹15,000 salary ceiling. It does not handle pre-2014 pro-rata service, pre-1995 benefits, higher pension, early or deferred pension, survivor/disability benefits, or withdrawal benefits.

Salary and service inputs

Use pensionable salary based on the applicable last-60-month average, not your last take-home pay. The tool applies a ₹15,000 ceiling. Enter whole credited years already confirmed by EPFO, including any applicable two-year weightage only once. This tool does not decide rounding, excluded service, non-contributory periods or weightage eligibility. For future planning, entered salary and service are assumptions, not approved records.

Formula and example

Monthly formula pension = pensionable salary × credited service / 70. At ₹15,000 and 10 confirmed years, that is ₹2,142.86 per month before EPFO’s final benefit determination and rounding. Entries below 10 years are not calculated; the tool does not decide whether incomplete service rounds up to qualify. Minimum-pension supplements are not modelled.

Why the official award can differ

Your membership history, actual contributions, eligible service and applicable scheme provisions matter. Do not use a single capped formula for mixed pre/post-2014 service or an approved higher-pension case. Ask EPFO to calculate those cases using your records.
